New York Yankees: Aaron Judge Wins the 2017 Home Run Derby

SEMIFINALS
The second round began with Sanchez v. Sano.
Sanchez’s second round wasn’t nearly as impressive as his first round. The Yankee catcher seemed to have tired himself out holding off Stanton in round one.
He hit nine homers in regular time and one more in extra time to get him to double digits.
Sano went out with the controlled pace he had in the first round and hit five homers in the first two and a half minutes.
He hit number ten with 54 seconds left on the clock and then sent the next pitch out for number 11.
Sano secured the victory over Sanchez with 43 seconds left and advanced to the finals.
The second semifinal matchup was between the frontrunners for NL and AL Rookie of the Year, Bellinger and Judge.
Bellinger got it started by hitting 12 home runs, but none went over 440 feet, preventing him from getting an extra 30 seconds. The lefty certainly needed those 30 seconds.
Judge followed and continued where he left off.
The 6’7″ animal hit five home runs in the first minute!
Judge then lost some steam as he called a timeout with 2:48 left with still just the five homers.
It was a timeout well spent. Judge hit four more home runs to put him at nine before things got really crazy!
Home run number ten went 504 feet and the next one (number 11) went 513 feet! The man was putting baseballs into orbit.
Judge then tied Bellinger with a 12th dinger and finished it off with the winning home run going 507 feet…no big deal.
