Number Four- Josh Johnson

Josh Johnson is just another filler of the chart for the New York Giants.

The NFL journeyman is settled with the Giants, but he is just a safety net for the future. With seven years experience in the League Johnson is the second most experienced quarterback on the roster.

That being said, he can’t be that high on the Empire Writes Back Depth Chart.

Sure he might be the odds on backup for Manning, but he has no growth value. Johnson is a great backup, but he’s nothing more.

With the other quarterbacks on the team, there is no reason Johnson should see the field unless there’s a injury. He can be an in-game backup, but after he fills in, there will be a week-to-week development of either Geno Smith or Davis Webb.

Josh Johnson is the forgotten member of the quarterback family.

There is a good chance he might not even be a Giant by the start of the season. There is no reason for the team to carry four quarterbacks, and if they need to cut one, Johnson is the first guy out.
