The New York Yankees continue to struggle down the stretch in the first half of 2017. A big problem is the lack of a first baseman, and there has yet to be an answer.

The New York Yankees are on their worst losing streak of 2017, and a big part of it is the lack of a first baseman.

The Yanks have a revolving door at first base. Since the start of the season, there have been a plethora of players to start at first base.

From Tyler Austin to Austin Romine, the New York Yankees can’t seem to find someone to hold down the fort.

The dream would be the return of Greg Bird. Well… not exactly.

The dream would be Bird returning, and playing like his old self. He’s a great player with a remarkable skill set, but injuries have put a halt to his career.

The New York Yankees desperately need someone at first base, and Bird is that guy. They ultimate dream for the future is a platoon of Austin and Bird, but now, there’s no one.

We need Bird to return, and stay healthy, if the New York Yankees want any chance at the division. He is one of the best pure hitters the Yanks have had in a long time, and he needs to get back on the horse.

New York Yankees baseball is nothing short of disappointing. That’s a fact.

Another fact is that the Bombers need a first baseman in order to win more often. A first baseman isn’t a make or break piece, but anything would be more helpful than Chris Carter.

A guy like Bird is so valuable to a lineup, and it’s been proven with Carter’s lack of production.

We miss you Greg Bird, and New York Yankees fans hope your back soon.
