A third option the Yankees could try to pursue is Lucas Duda of the New York Mets.

He could potentially be the player the Yankees give up the least to get.

The Mets and Yankees rarely do business with one another, but Duda would be a nice upgrade who could also take advantage of the short porch.

He’s hit 14 home runs and driven in 30 runs with a .249 average this season.

Since the Mets figure to move on from some of their position players, including Duda, after the season to make way for some of their top prospects, this is a deal that would work out for both parties.

The Yankees get some much needed help at first base, while the Mets get prospects who they can attempt to groom into every-day players.
