Another player the Yankees could target is Matt Adams.

The lefty first baseman from the Atlanta Braves has 13 home runs and 39 RBI, with a .878 OPS and a .286 batting average.

Those numbers are far greater than any put forth by Bird, Austin, or Carter this season, and the lefty Adams has the power to take advantage of the short porch at Yankee Stadium.

With the packaging of a few prospects from the minor leagues, the Yankees could certainly make a deal happen.
