There are plenty of trade options at first base that the Yankees can look into around the league, starting with Eric Hosmer of the Kansas City Royals.

Hosmer could be available if the Royals decide to sell at the deadline. With a .310 batting average, 11 HR, and 38 RBI, he would be a significant improvement.

The Yankees certainly have the prospects to get a deal done. They could offer Tyler Wade and Miguel Andújar, two players who appear ready for the major league level.

Andújar could replace Mike Moustakas at third base if the veteran decides not re-sign with the Royals after the season.

It would be a win for the Yankees too, who would still keep a majority of their top prospects while improving their biggest weakness.

If the Royals remain in the AL Central race, however, they might not want to get rid of Hosmer so that they can make a playoff push of their own.
