The New York Knicks are ready to cut all ties with Phil Jackson. With less than a week until NBA Free Agency, is this the move to make?

The New York Knicks are ready to sever ties with Phil Jackson, and it seems like a local holiday in New York.

The fact of the matter is that the “Zen Master” made basketball so much worse in New York. He was the kiss of death to the Knicks franchise.

In his time as the President of the New York Knicks Jackson had four different head coaches. That is a ridiculous number. Four coaches in four years, and none of them could win. That’s not their fault, it’s Phil’s.

The man is just terrible. He never wanted the job in New York, never wanted to work for it, and he acted like a little kid that didn’t want to go to school.

He is lazy.

Plain and simple.

The guy doesn’t care about basketball in this city. All he cares about is the money that he is making.

Just to throw some math at you, Jackson spent 1,200 days as a Knick. He $60 million which means if you break it down, he made $50,000 each day.

That is fantastic. You really love to see that.

Also just to throw another tidbit in there, the Joakim Noah contract is one of the worst moves I’ve ever seen.

Bringing in an aged center to try and land an aged point guard in Derek Rose was just a terrible idea, and the whole plan just didn’t equate to anything. Jackson just wanted to plug Carmelo Anthony on the 2012 Bulls.

I’m beyond happy that Phil Jackson is gone. It means it’s time for a turnaround in New York, and that should make Knicks fans elated.
