Number One- He Fits the Mold

This is the most important thing the Devils could get out of Hischier. He fits the scheme that they are building on.

It all started with the oncoming surge of Adam Henrique, and since then they’ve tried to create a new image. That image is youthful skaters with a finesse type play.

It is straying from the old enforcer Devils hockey, and heading towards a new era. There are a plethora of great forwards in the lineup, and Hischier just adds to it.

He also helps the defensive side, as I said earlier, he’s a strong two-way player.

The Devils are looking to build around their top forwards, and become a high octane offensive attack. They have the capability to have some of the top lines in hockey, and Hischier adds to that firepower.

He’s going to fit in so easily with this team, and he will blend right into the group. It’s so important that he fit well because this team is still in a rebuild.

Luckily, he fits the mold of a Devil, and he will look to be the final turn in the rebuilding phase.

Final Thoughts

Nico Hischier is the future of the New Jersey Devils.

He’s the guy that is going to flip the Devils into the new era of New Jersey hockey. He’s got all the prowess of a great star, and he’s only 18.

The kid has a bright future, and he just has to prove that he was worth the top pick in the draft.

His speed, size, and general growth are the intangibles of a future star. I think that he is going to be one of the league’s best in a year’s time. He could be the reason the Devils get back to the Stanley Cup Final.

In just a few year’s this kid is going to go from first overall pick, to the Devils best player, and eventually one of the best players in the NHL.

There’s so much potential with Hischier, and there is a great chance of him being unbelievable in just a few years.
