Caleb Smith

Chance Adams isn’t the only one pitching well in Triple-A.

After spending 2013-2015 in minor league starting rotations, Caleb Smith worked out of the bullpen in 2016. He returned to the starting rotation in 2017 though, and through 12 starts, Smith is 4-0 with a 2.71 ERA.

Smith is also not on the 40-man roster. If Cashman won’t place someone on waivers to call Chance Adams up, he most likely won’t for Smith either.

However, few people saw the recent promotions of Domingo German and Ronald Herrera coming, so you never know.
