The New York Yankees put on their most dominating offensive performance of the season last night. The 16-run outing is the most important part of this season.

New York Yankees fans were treated to an offensive frenzy last night against the Orioles.

Sixteen runs, but what does that really mean?

It means that the New York Yankees are here, and here to stay. There are always skeptics when a team performs better than most expect, but last night was a statement.

For the Yankees, they are showing that youth can supply a spark that most other things can’t. Aaron Judge is the most talked about player the Yankees have had in a long time, and he’s living up to expectations.

He continues to rake the ball, and he shows no signs of stopping. His success is propelling the Yankees to new heights in the 2017 campaign.

Gary Sanchez is starting to find his swing as well, and that spells trouble for teams of the AL East.

On the flipside, the pitching of Luis Severino was masterful. The way he is pitching this year is synonymous to elegance, and shows signs of what’s to come from such a young Yankee team.

Once more of the youth starts to come up, lookout for more dominance like this Yankee fans.

So last night meant more than just putting up 16 runs on one of the better teams in the league. It signified the final turn into the new era of New York Yankees baseball.

Yes, youth has been talked about all year, but it was put on full display last night.

Judge and Sanchez combined for five RBIs, and two homeruns in the winning effort. Severino went seven innings, with one earned, and eight strikeouts.

Last night’s dominant win meant one thing, the youth of the New York Yankees is here, and is here to stay for a long time.
