The New York Mets fired iconic mascot Mr. Met today. With the team’s continued struggles, this was obviously the move that had to be made.

The New York Mets front office has finally figure it out folks.

The team is struggling beyond belief this season, but the men upstairs made a move today that will hopefully turn it around. They have gotten rid of the man that plays Mr. Met.

Bravo gentlemen, you did it. You finally figured it out. After an abysmal two months, the earth-shattering change is getting rid of an actor.

Now, to be fair, Mr. Met shot a fan the middle finger. He deserved to get canned, but the fact that this is the first move the Mets front office has made all year speaks volumes about them.

The Mets have one of the worst bullpens in the league, and they have no offense. In fact, I watched Asdrubal Cabrera drop a routine pop-up the other night.

The wheels are so far off the wagon for this team, that it’s almost impressive.

They are imploding. Their fans are so fed up, that they berated their own mascot so much, that he flipped them the bird. That is like something out of the movie Major League.

There is no drive to make this team better, and the fact that it’s gotten this far is borderline hilarious.

The New York Mets need so much help. They are horrible on the field, and now it’s known across the league how bad they are behind the scenes. To all you Mets fans out there, I wish you all the best.

Mr. Met, whoever you are, kudos to you. I don’t necessarily condone flipping people off, but at least you stood by your team. That is something more than the fans, Fred Wilpon, and everyone below him can say.
