Number Two: Baltimore Orioles (22-14)

The Orioles continue to impress through the first 40 games of the season.

Baltimore wasn’t tabbed as a team that was going to contend for the AL East, but they have proven that they are here, and here to stay.

Centered around Adam Jones and Mark Trumbo, the Orioles offense is one of the best in baseball, They are polished and ready to dominate week in and week out.

They stumbled a bit this week going 6-4 over their last ten, but make no mistake, this is a team that will contend for the number one spot each week.

Just like for every other team in the league, if pitching stays consistent for the O’s, lookout for Baltimore down the stretch this month.

They have some really winnable games, and they can easily take over the top spot if they get it going.

The Yankees should be concerned that the Orioles are nipping at their heels because they are, without a doubt, the real deal.
