After a wild first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the New York Jets will have three picks on Friday night.

The 2017 NFL Draft started out well for the New York Jets. With some surprises in early on in the first round, the Jets were able to get one of the best defensive players in the draft.

To start things off, the Chicago Bears traded up one spot to select quarterback Mitch Trubisky with the second overall pick. This came as a big shock to many considering the Bears just gave Mike Glennon a good amount of money this offseason.

The selection of Trubisky was followed by two more offensive players being taken in the Top 5. The Jacksonville Jaguars took running back Leonard Fournette fourth overall, and then the Tennessee Titans selected wide receiver, Corey Williams.

With three offensive players gone in the first five picks, the Jets had safety Jamal Adams fall into their lap at sixth. The Adams pick for the Jets is certainly a good one, and they will now be trying to build upon a strong start to the draft.

In the second round, the Jets will be in a position to get another solid player, as they have the 7th pick in the second round, which is 39th overall. Following the second round, the Jets will have two picks in the third round. The first pick in the third round be the 70th overall pick, and the Jets will be on the board once again with the 107th pick.

Jets picks:

Second Round: 39th overall

Third Round: 70th, 107th overall
