CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY. A. . RB. Panthers

After underperforming in 2016, the Panthers were in a prime position to add an impact player in the draft. The Panthers were able to get Christian McCaffrey, a running back from Stanford, to help give their offense a spark in 2017.

The Panthers RBs aren’t great receivers and their top running back, Fozzy Whittaker, only caught 33 passes in 2016. Current RB Jonathan Stewart is 30-years-old so McCaffrey will be the RB of the future in Charlotte. McCaffrey is also a dynamic punt returner and will give the Panthers another weapon in the return game.

In three years at Stamford McCaffrey rushed for 3,922 yards and was able to record over 1,000 receiving and kick return yards. He was a Heisman Trophy semi-finalists in 2015 and averaged over six yards per carry each year at Stanford.

McCaffrey’s speed and excellent hands will give Carolina one of the most explosive offenses in the NFC and a great shot to compete with the Falcons in their division.
