New York Giants Receive Low Mark in 2017 NFL Draft First Round Grades
By Nick Ziegler
After bringing in DeSean Jackson this offseason, the Buccaneers have added another option to the force that is their offense. With the 19th pick, Tampa Bay selected Alabama tight end O.J. Howard.
Howard is the most talented pass-catching tight end in the draft. He is loaded with size and talent, and is set to make the Buccaneers offense into a juggernaut. He can also block really well in the run game, and that is something the Buccaneers definitely need.
Howard was a big question mark in the 2017 draft. Some mock drafts had him in the top ten, others had him going 20 or later. Tampa Bay got him, and they got him as a steal. Howard is so athletic for a man of his size, and he has so much raw talent.
This wasn’t a need pick for the Bucs, but it was a great pick for them. This could’ve been one of the best offenses in the league without Howard, and no it is without a doubt the most powerful offense on paper. Just an overall great pick by the Buccaneers.
