B+. . CB. Titans. ADOREE' JACKSON

The Tennessee Titans hit on a need with their first selection, nabbing wide receiver Corey Davis with the fifth overall pick. With their second pick in the first round they hit on yet another need. With the 18th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Titans selected USC cornerback Adoree’ Jackson.

Jackson will help the Titans bolster their porous secondary. Along with Logan Ryan, the Titans have added some much needed talent to their secondary. Despite his small stature, as he stands 5-feet-10 inches tall, Jackson is one of the most explosive and versatile players in the draft.

He can contribute in every facet of the game. In addition to play defense, Jackson chipped in offensively and was dynamic on special teams as a return man. He needs some work on his technique, but he should be able to help the Titans right away based on his athleticism alone.

Selecting Jackson here is a bit of a stretch. The Titans seemed set on addressing needs though, so based on what they needed to improve, he fits the bill better than other cornerbacks available. Marcus Mariota has gotten another weapon, the defense gets a ballhawking corner and the special teams added arguably the best return man in this draft.
