CB. Saints. MARSHON LATTIMORE. A-.

A team in dire need of a defensive presence just went out and got one. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore of Ohio State is one old the most versatile corners in the draft.

He has great deep chase-down speed, and reads plays like a free safety. His man coverage is a work in progress. He sometimes misses getting his hands on the receiver on the initial press, but he is the real deal.

The Saints were talking all offseason about getting Malcom Butler from the Patriots, and just made a move that is even better for them. Lattimore is a younger and more athletic version of Butler. He is going to make an immediate impact in New Orleans.

The Saints have one of the worst defenses in the league, and drafting Lattimore is without a doubt a leap in the right direction. This was a big move from the boys in the bayou, and Saints fans should be ecstatic about this pick.

Lattimore is going to be the next premiere shutdown corner in the National Football League. He can stop the run, and he can defend the pass. His man coverage needs some touching up, but other than that, he’s a stud.
