Alabama Offensive Tackle, Cam Robinson

The Giants saw the top offensive lineman on their board, Garret Bolles, get selected by the Denver Nuggets just a few picks before them. Luckily for the Giants, offensive linemen weren’t highly regarded in the 2017 NFL Draft. That could be to their benefit.

If the offensive linemen tumble down the board again on Day 2, the Giants could get a steal. Robinson has been highly touted since he was in high school as a potential anchor at left tackle on an offensive line. He did not live all the way up to that hype, but would be an excellent selection for the Giants should be drop.

The Giants need to find someone who could potentially take over at left tackle. Ereck Flowers has not played well in two seasons at left tackle and profiles better on the right side. Robinson could be a long-term answer for the Giants at left tackle if they can get him to further his development that seemingly plateaued.

Even if Robinson is selected and not ready to play left tackle, he could help right away at right tackle. He is already a strong run blocker, something the Giants did not do well last season. If he is on the board when the Giants are on the clock, they will be hard pressed to pass on Robinson.
