Goaltending is the name of the game in the NHL Playoffs. The difference between a lengthy postseason run and early exit could be a hot or cold goaltender. Luckily for the Rangers, they have one of the hottest goaltenders on the planet in net for them.

Lundqvist was outstanding for the Rangers against the Canadiens. After struggling to end the regular season after returning from injury, Lundqvist was in top form in Round One. He looked like the old Lundqvist, making remarkable saves on a nightly basis.

In Round One, Lundqvist was third among goalies with multiple appearances with a 1.70 goals against average. His .947 save percentage also ranked third, as Lundqvist outdueld Carey Price. Lundqvist is a big reason for the Rangers advancing and will continue to play a part in their playoff success.

The Rangers have a clear advantage in net in this series. If Lundqvist plays at the same level he did against the Canadiens the Rangers have an excellent chance of obtaining their second upset in the 2017 NHL Playoffs.
