The Jets need a pass rushing threat and could find it here in the second round. The team has hosted Williams for both a visit and private workout.

With 16 tackles for a loss and nine sacks Williams is one of those unique pass rushing threats that the Jets defense has sorely been lacking. With offenses having to focus on Leonard Williams and Mohammad Wilkerson, Tim Williams could get great one-on-one matchups on the edge.

The knock on Williams is that while he is a great pass rusher, he struggles in pass protection and run stopping.

Even if he’s only a pass rush specialist, have a player that can get to the quarterback in a passing league is a huge asset. This could be a pick that helps the Jets defense, especially the front seven return to being one of the leagues best units.
