With the NFL Draft here, the New York Jets will be attempting to help their rebuilding process. In this mock draft, we see the Jets make a trade.

This is a full seven-round mock draft for the New York Jets, but with a twist. This mock draft will not only highlight the Jets selections, but will also highlight possible trades that could occur in the Draft. For this mock draft, the Jets will make a have a major trade with the Cleveland Browns.

In this trade the Jets will send the No.6 pick and Sheldon Richardson for picks from the Browns. Those picks will be this year’s No.12, No.33, No.188, and a second and fourth round pick in the 2018 draft. The Browns will get Richardson and trade up for Mitch Trubisky while the Jets will accumulate draft picks in both this year and next year’s draft.

And with the first pick in the 2017 NFL draft the New York Jets select….

New York Giants Select O.J. Howard In NFL Mock Draft 1.0

. Tight End. Alabama. O.J. Howard. 1. player. 30

No team has gotten less production from the tight end position over the past two seasons than New York and luckily they have a great tight end class to choose from in this draft.

Howard is this year’s most highly coveted tight end prospect at 6’6″4 with freakish athleticism. While the production at Alabama was solid, the main reason for Howard not having eye-popping stats is the fact that he comes from an offense that primarily runs the ball and has lackluster quarterback play.

With above average blocking, great athleticism, and hands Howard could be the long-term answer at tight end for the Jets for years to come and a valuable security blanket for whoever is under center for New York in the coming years especially if the team moves on from Eric Decker.
