In the 2017 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected Jamal Adams.  What is the reaction to this pick on Twitter?

With the sixth pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the New York Jets made a very good selection as they selected safety Jamal Adams from LSU.

Due to the top of the draft being a bit different than many expected, Adams fell into the Jets’ lap with the sixth overall pick.

For the Jets, Adams certainly fills a need for the Jets. Last season, the Jets had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL, and Adams should be able to help that. With the injury to Marcus Gilchrist and the poor season for Calvin Pryor, taking a safety is a good move for the Jets.

As arguably the best player available at the time for the Jets, this was a smart pick for the Jets. Adams might arguably be the best player in the secondary for the Jets from the start of the season for the Jets, as it was clearly an area of need.

Fans on Twitter voiced their opinions on the pick, and it was a pretty positive response for the Jets.

Due to the Jets being in a rebuild, it is going to take time before they can be a contender. However, making good draft picks like Adams is a step in the right direction. Due to some of their draft blunders recently, it has hurt the team on the field. With Adams being drafted in the first round, it will be interesting to see how the Jets attack day two of the NFL Draft.

After taking Adams, the Jets still have plenty of needs on both sides of the ball. With three total picks in rounds two and three, the Jets will need to continue to fill needs.
