Number Five: Toronto Blue Jays (5-13)

The disappointment up north continues as the Jays find themselves in fifth this week.

There is just nothing positive happening in Toronto. The pitching stinks… the hitting stinks… it’s just a dumpster fire to start the season.

As a diehard baseball fan, it does hurt to see a powerhouse team underperform. The Blue Jays were a top contender last year, and they can still be one this year. The only problem is that they’re already paying catchup almost 20 games into the season.

Of course, I’m going to be the optimist. Let’s just beat the dead horse and continue to say there is a lot of time left in the season. It’s going to be something that is said until a team is completely out of it, but it is fun to give a team a hard time for playing so poorly.

If the Jays could figure it out, and a four-team race could get underway in the east, that would be banana land. Here’s to hoping Josh Donaldson can lead his team back to the top of things come this time nest week.
