New York Yankees baseball is finally in full swing, pun intended, but they have since slowed down after a hot start in 2017.

The AL East is the best division in baseball, and the Yankees are fighting for a top spot. Last week the Bombers found themselves at the top spot in our weekly power rankings, but after cooling down, they’ve dropped.

The AL East is essentially a three-headed monster. Baltimore looks tough, and the Red Sox hitting is finding a way to get the job done. Throw a young team like the Yankees into the mix, and fans get everything they need in a great division.

Focus in on the AL East, and fans will find a reason to be excited about the 2017 season. Power Rankings are a very general topic, but when you put the AL East on an island, it’s exciting to watch.

The Yankees lost the top spot this week, but with inter-divisional games coming up, they look to regain it.
