It was not a good week for the Atlanta Braves. To start the week, Atlanta was able to finish off a four-game sweep at home against the San Diego Padres. However, they would then lose every game for the rest of the week.

After being swept at home by the Washington Nationals, the Braves were then swept on the road by the Philadelphia Phillies. One of the main problems for the Braves has been their play on the road. They have won just two games so far this season on the road, and that is something that needs to be improved.

With six road games to finish off the month of April against the Mets and Milwaukee Brewers, the Braves have a chance to fix some of their road woes. If they continue to struggle, their season could be over by the beginning of May.

One bright spot in what has been a poor start to the season is first baseman, Freddie Freeman. After three weeks, Freeman is batting .381 with seven home runs, and nine RBIs. The struggles of the top of the order have hurt the Braves’ offense, as there aren’t ducks on the pond for Freeman to knock in.
