New York Rangers vs Montreal Canadians: 5 Players To Watch
The Rangers have a high scoring offense, but do not have one dominant player such as Alexander Ovechkin with the Washington Capitals. The Rangers have 10 players that scored double digit goals this season, making them a dangerous team from multiple places on the ice.
One player that could be their go-to scorer is Rick Nash. Nash has been a mixed bag at times in the postseason for the Rangers. Some fans want him to be the dominant scorer like Ovechkin is, but he does so much more for the Rangers than just score.
Nash has shown an ability to be a playmaker in the postseason. With the Rangers, he has more assists, 18, than goals, 10, in the playoffs. That helps his teammates as a lot of attention is paid to Nash when he is on the ice; if he is willing to make that extra pass it helps keep the offense moving.
The Rangers have a lot of players that can hurt you. Mats Zuccarello leads the team with 59 points. J.T Miller, Derek Stepan, and Kreider all registered more than 50 points on the season as well; Kevin Hayes fell just short with 49.

The Rangers have a lot of talent, but arguably the most important is Nash. The Rangers will need production from everyone if they are to score on the Canadiens strong defense. Nash could be a difference maker in this series. If he can light the lamp and give Montreal another player to worry about, the Rangers can put some pressure on the Canadiens and push to win the series.
