Marshon Lattimore. 5. player. 35. . Cornerback. Ohio State

The Titans are in a great position. They have their franchise quarterback in Marcus Mariota. They also have an extra selection in the first round thanks to a trade made with the Los Angeles Rams last year. That selection is this one, which the Titans will use to fill another hole on their roster at cornerback.

The Titans signed Logan Ryan in free agency but will need more than one player to turn things around. Step in Lattimore. Lattimore was absolutely dominant on the outside last season for the Buckeyes. He allowed a 30.2 NFL passer rating on throws into his coverage in 2016 according to Pro Football Focus. To put that into perspective how amazing that is, a quarterback would get a rating of 39.6 just throwing the ball away on every attempt.

Lattimore plays aggressively, but only committed two penalties last season. One knock against him is that he played almost exclusively on the right side at Ohio State, so he has very limited experience tracking receivers or playing the slot. His cover skills are off the charts and show signs of someone that can cause turnovers.

Cornerback is arguably the toughest position to play when making the jump from college to the NFL. But, Lattimore will not be saddled with the responsibilities of being the No.1 corner on the team. Landing with the Titans would be an ideal spot for Lattimore as they are in a position to win and can ease him into life in the NFL.
