New York Giants Select O.J. Howard In NFL Mock Draft 1.0
The Bears are no longer in the market for a long-term quarterback, at least this year; Mike Glennon will be the starter, with Mark Sanchez backing him up. With quarterback filled, at least for now, the Bears can turn to addressing other needs, such as the secondary.
Adams would be an excellent addition to the Bears defense. He has the skills to play a number of roles in their defensive backfield. Adams can play near the line of scrimmage against the run or deep in coverage. He can also be used as a slot corner or to defend tight ends in certain packages.
Chicago didn’t make many plays in the secondary last season, recording only eight interceptions. Adams has good ball skills and would give the Bears a playmaker in their secondary.
His versatility would help the Bears as he can be deployed in a number of ways. His prowess in the run game is what sets him apart from other safeties in this class. That can be where he helps the team the most. Chicago struggled against the run last season and Adams can help them improve in that area.
