New York Giants Select O.J. Howard In NFL Mock Draft 1.0
The Chiefs need help in the secondary and we give them some with the selection of Kevin King out of Washington. The Chiefs could look to add a pass rusher here, but King brings a lot of value and adding talent to their secondary doesn’t hurt.
King is the prototypical size that NFL teams want out of their corners nowadays. He is 6-feet-3 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds with the speed and measurables to match. That helped him lock down receivers on the perimeter, as he allowed only one touchdown in his last 28 college games according to Pro Football Focus.
King has a chance to be a lockdown corner in the NFL. He brings versatility with him as well, as he has also played nickel corner and free safety at Washington. He also has experience on special teams as a gunner and jammer.
Combining King with Marcus Peters, Eric Berry, and Ron Parker could give the Chiefs a dominant secondary that would give even the most explosive offenses headaches.
