New York Giants Select O.J. Howard In NFL Mock Draft 1.0
With the 16th pick in the mock draft, the Baltimore Ravens will be getting a bit younger on defense with the addition of Haason Reddick. The Ravens had one of the best defenses in the NFL last season, and they have done a good job getting some young players on that side of the ball in recent years.
Due to Terrell Suggs getting a bit older, Reddick could be a great player to line up opposite of him and learn from one of the greats. In college, Reddick was the type of player that worked hard and improved every year.
In his freshman season, Reddick totaled just one sack in eight games. He followed that with a slight improvement as a sophomore, as he totaled two sacks. Then, Reddick began to find his groove. In his junior season, Reddick totaled 13 tackles for loss and five sacks. Last season, Reddick was an impact player for Temple, as he totaled 22.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.
Even though Reddick was a defensive end at times in college, he will be making the transition to playing mostly outside linebacker. Suggs made a similar transition coming into the NFL and could be a great mentor for Reddick.
