New York Giants Select O.J. Howard In NFL Mock Draft 1.0
Quarterback is a need for the Cardinals long-term. But, for at least one more season, Carson Palmer will be under center. He gives them a chance to win, so if they want to get back to the level they were at in 2015 they need to shore up that defense.
With Foster off the board at No.11, the Cardinals hit their next biggest need at cornerback. With Tony Jefferson leaving in free agency there is a big void in the Cardinals secondary. White can help fill that hole.
White brings a lot of versatility to the table. He can play on both the outside and in the slot, something not every college player is capable of doing. He allowed only 41.7 percent of passes to be completed on his coverage last season. He is a solid run defender with the capabilities to set the edge when needed. He isn’t the biggest guy at 5-feet-11 ¼ inches tall and 192 pounds but will make the tackle in the open field.
Arizona has only one cornerback on the roster that played more than 270 snaps. Adding talent to their cornerback group should be near the top of their to-do list in the NFL Draft and White would accomplish that.
