Our friends at AppTriger.com recently simulated an entire season of MLB the Show 17. How did the New York Yankees do in the simulation?

The New York Yankees are coming into the 2017 season with their on the future. With a lot of young talent on the team, the future should be bright in the Bronx.

While the Yankees have some exciting young players, they also have a lot of question marks. Recently, AppTrigger.com simulated an entire season of MLB the Show 17. When they did this simulation last season, the game correctly predicted the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series.

For Yankees fans, they won’t like what the simulation had their 2017 season looking like. In the simulation, the Yankees finished in last place in the American League East with a 69-93 record.

While the Yankees might not be a playoff team this season, seeing them with a worse record than the Tampa Bay Rays, and one of the worst records in the entire major leagues is. Last season, the Yankees were able to compete for a playoff spot deep into the season even with their sell-off at the trade deadline.

This season, the Yankees’ lineup might be young, but it is certainly talented with Gary Sanchez leading the way. In the simulation, Sanchez had an MVP-caliber season. He was able to total 38 home runs, 90 RBIs, and 71 runs scored. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much other help for Sanchez on offense in the simulation.

On the pitching staff, Masahiro Tanaka didn’t disappoint with an ERA in the low three’s. However, Pineda was able to also have a great season with an ERA under 3.50. If that happened in 2017 for the Yankees, the team would be ecstatic.

It would be pretty shocking to see the Yankees finish below 70 wins in 2017. Even though the game may have correctly predicted the Cubs winning the World Series last season, they appear to be off on their prediction for the Yankees. However, we will have to wait and see.
