The 2017 NCAA Tournament is now in the Sweet 16. For the East Region, that means a move to Madison Square Garden.

After an exciting opening weekend, the NCAA Tournament is now in the Sweet 16. In the East Region, the four remaining teams will be playing in Madison Square Garden.

As many filled out their brackets prior to the start of March Madness, all have likely crossed out many games in the East Region. Coming into the tournament, the East Region featured Villanova and Duke.

Villanova was the No.1 seed in the region, and Duke was arguably the best two seed in the tournament. In the Round of 32, both Villanova and Duke lost, and that has certainly shaken up the East Region.

With both of the top seeds eliminated, it will be Baylor, Florida, South Carolina, and Wisconsin as the remaining teams in the region. In recent years, Villanova has utilized MSG as their second home court. Despite playing St. John’s in the Big East Tournament, Villanova was well-represented in what should have been home court for St. John’s.

Due to none of the teams left in the region being near New York, it will be an interesting dynamic in the Garden this weekend. On Friday, Wisconsin will be playing Florida in the later session. Both teams have had some great performances from players in the first two rounds, and this has the makings of a great matchup.

With a trip to the Elite 8 on the line, here are five players to watch as Wisconsin and Florida face off in the Sweet 16.
