March Madness has started off with a bang in the East Region. Who were the top performers from Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament?

March Madness certainly lived up to its name in the Round of 32 in the East Region. On Saturday, Villanova was eliminated by Wisconsin.

As the defending champs, seeing Villanova lose in the second round was pretty shocking. Wisconsin had a good season overall, but they were certainly faltering heading into the Big 10 tournament. In the Big 10 Title Game, Wisconsin lost to Michigan, as they didn’t come into the tournament with a lot of momentum.

While the game between Wisconsin and Villanova was exciting, the game between Florida and Virginia was not. From the start of the game, Florida was able to handle Virginia with ease.

One of the most exciting games from the East Region in the Round of 32 was the game between Baylor and USC. After winning the play-in game, USC came in with a lot of momentum. Despite that, Baylor was able to hold on for an exciting four-point win.

After the upset of Villanova, the East Region looked like it was going to be Duke’s for the taking. However, some strange placement for Duke resulted in them basically playing a road game as the higher seed against South Carolina. Behind a great second half, South Carolina was able to upset Duke and advance to the Sweet 16.

In some exciting games, there were some great individual efforts in the East Region. With the region moving to Madison Square Garden, here are the best performers from the Round of 32.
