One of the top performers from the exciting 4/13 matchup between Florida and East Tennessee State was forward Devin Robinson. The Gators were on upset alert for a little while but were able to regain control in the second half.

With KeVaughn Allen struggling the Gators needed another player to step up. Allen is usually an excellent player for the Gators, but he shot just 1-for-11 from the field in the win. As a player that averages 13.7 points per game, Allen totaled just seven in the win.

While Allen was struggling, it was Robinson that stepped up as a scorer for the Gators. He was able to total a game-high 24 points on 10-for-17 shooting. Robinson only averages just over 11 points per game, but he was able to more than double his average.

In addition to the scoring, it was also important for Robinson to be a factor on the glass. With a lack of size, Robinson was tied for the team-lead in rebounds with seven. With a matchup against Virginia coming, the Gators will need to find ways score. Getting extra production from Robinson helped the Gators in the opening round, but they will certainly need Allen to be better against Virginia if they hope to advance.
