New York Giants: Top Five Free Agency Signings of All-Time
Shaun O’Hara, Center
The three-time Pro Bowler could be the best offensive lineman the Giants have ever had. He was the leader of some of the best offensive lines the Giants have ever had, and he deserves a top spot on this list.
O’Hara came to the Giants after a spending a short amount of time with the Browns, and made a huge impact. He was a Giants team captain, and he helped lead them to a Super Bowl in 2008.
O’Hara was a powerful center, but he also was unbelievably gritty. He held down the trenches for the Giants for seven years before he retired in 2010, and he was one of the biggest parts (no pun intended) in the Giants success in that time.
The superstar center was a mainstay in New York, and was one of the best offensive linemen in football throughout the duration of his career.
Stats are hard to come by as an offensive lineman, but when a player holds down the center of an offensive line for seven years, he deserves some respect. Center is one of the most difficult positions, and O’Hara was one of the best the league had seen in the early 2000s. His longevity at center is something that some players at his position will never experience.
