Aaron Judge

Forgive my pun, but Judge-ment day is upon us Yankee fans. It’s been a long time coming for the 24-year-old outfielder, but it looks like he is ready to play a full season in the Bronx.

When the Yankees drafted Judge with the 32nd pick of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft, fans everywhere rejoiced at the pick. Judge had great success as a college ball player and even won the 2012 College Homerun Derby.

He has had a stellar spring so far for the Yankees. In nine games he has batted .333 with two RBIs, and one moonshot that I’m pretty sure still hasn’t come down. The Yankees are looking for Judge to make a significant impact this season in the big leagues.

Last season Judge struggled to keep his strikeout numbers down, and so far he has done a good job fending off K’s. Judge is a player that was in sort of a hot seat at the start of spring training but has shown he deserves a fair shot in the big leagues.

He has the potential to be the everyday right fielder, and if he keeps up this production, I see no reason why Joe Girardi won’t believe the same.
