New York Giants

This would be a great situation for Marshall. He wouldn’t have to move, as the Giants share MetLife Stadium with the Jets. It would enable him to continue his studio work with Inside The NFL on Showtime as well. The Giants are also shaping up as a contending team and have a need for a player such as Marshall.

Ralph Vacchiano of SNY believes the Giants could be a landing spot for the Giants and for good reason. Marshall is exactly what the Giants have been missing at wide receiver for a number of seasons. He would give them size on the outside and be an excellent complement for Odell Beckham Jr. outside the numbers.

Marshall has experience with the media in New York and has had his own problems to deal with. He would be a great mentor for Beckham Jr. as someone that has experienced some of what he is going through. With Sterling Shepard locked in at slot receiver, Marshall fits the profile of the missing piece of the Giants receiving corps.

Marshall would also be a weapon for the Giants in the red zone. Lacking a true power back the Giants struggled to score the closer they got to the end zone. Beckham Jr. and Shepard have had some success in that area of the field, but wouldn’t it be nice for Eli Manning to have a 6-foot-4 inch target to throw fades to in the corner of the end zone?

The Giants have lacked a player of that size since Plaxico Burress. Marshall would be great with the Giants on the field. The only problem is, can the Giants fit him into their salary cap?
