– Mike Glennon

Arguably the best option overall this offseason at the quarterback position is Mike Glennon. After the Tampa Bay Buccanneers used the No.1 overall pick on Jamies Winston, Glennon quickly became a backup quarterback and an afterthought in Tampa Bay.

Even though Glennon played decent for the Buccaneers, they decided that Winston was too good to pass on. Judging Winston by his first few seasons, he has certainly played well, and the decision looks like the right one.

For Glennon, he is now a free agent seeking a new team. Due to the Jets’ struggles, many have wanted Glennon to be the next quarterback. This offseason, those believers in Glennon might get their wish.

In his career, Glennon has totaled a 5-13 record as a starter. The poor record was one of the reasons why the Buccaneers didn’t stick with Glennon as a starter. However, he has totaled 30 passing touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

If the Jets were to sign Glennon, he would likely be the starting quarterback for them. Interest in Glennon would be a clear signal from the franchise that they don’t believe in Petty and Hackenberg.

Unlike some of the other options, Glennon will likely be looking for a decent contract this offseason. An investment in Glennon as a free agent would mean that the Jets have the confidence in him to be their starting quarterback.
