 Andrew Whitworth

Whitworth would be a huge addition for the Giants; literally and figuratively. The veteran tackle weighs in at a whopping 6-feet-7 inches tall, weighing 325 pounds. Whitworth had a great career with the Cincinnati Bengals, but is now looking for a new home after 10 years in Cincinnati.

It’s no secret that the Giants need help on the offensive line, and Whitworth’s seasoned presence could be a big help. The reason Whitworth doesn’t rank higher up on the list is because bringing him in would be more for a quick fix in order to win a championship.

Now, I’m not complaining if Reese decides to bring him in for two years to try to get a ring, but with the team’s youth, I’d want a long-term guy. No offense to Whitworth, but age isn’t just a number in the NFL. Every player loses a step, and there is always a younger player that is just going to be more valuable.

Whitworth could find a short-lived home in New York, but Reese wouldn’t be doing any good by bringing him in regardless of his selling price.

The Giants would not have to pay Whitworth much, but there is a tackle that has a similar market value that is also a few years younger.
