Adrian Peterson

Easy Giants fans… this is realistic, but not the first priority for this offseason. To talk about Peterson by the numbers would be easy, but come on, he’s one of the best running backs of all time.

The former Viking has said that he could see himself as a part of the Giants next season, but Reese should know better than to jump all over his word. The big turn on for Peterson is that the team knows what they are getting if they bring him in.

The Giants running game has been lackluster over the last few years, and a dynamic back could definitely help the cause. Peterson is obviously a guy that is worth taking a shot on, but his resume indicates that he would want a big paycheck.

Peterson does deserve to get paid good money, but the Giants shouldn’t be the team to offer it to him right off of the bat. Big Blue should definitely offer Peterson something, but they shouldn’t put a groundbreaking offer on the table.

The Giants shouldn’t offer more than a three-year deal for Peterson. Anything more than that would be an absurdly long deal for a 31-year-old running back.
