Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are always players in the buyout market; that is one of the luxuries of being a good team. Players want to play for and try winning a ring. The Warriors are primed to make another run this season and should not find a shortage of players that want to join them. The Warriors did not bring back Briante Weber after his 10-day contract expired, and are looking to fill the roster spot.

ESPN’s Marc Stein reports that the Warriors are set to fill that roster spot with Jose Calderon, who was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Knowing that Jennings will now be available, could the Warriors change course? There is no doubt that Jennings is the superior player to Calderon at this time. But, would Jennings be willing to sit at the end of the bench and not play? That looks to be the role that Calderon is destined for as Stephen Curry is locked in as the starter and Shaun Livingston is his backup.

35-year old Calderon seems more likely to accept a role like that than Jennings, who still has something to offer teams on the court. All of the other teams on this list would provide Jennings a chance at consistent minutes and a chance to play right away. While the Warriors may present the best chance at winning, they are the worst option for someone looking to get playing time.
