Micah Hyde: DB

The Jets secondary was a disaster in 2016 and will be overhauled this offseason. While the first need will be corner, the safety position could also be improved. Micah Hyde is one of the most underrated free agents in the 2017 free agent class.

His value comes in his versatility to play multiple positions from corner, safety, and even playing up near the box as a linebacker. Bowles loves versatility and the ability to play a variety of positions in different packages make Hyde a great asset. Another bonus, he can also return punts and kicks on special teams.

While he may not be an elite corner that the Jets desperately need, Hyde’s versatility to stay on the field in different packages make him a dynamic defender that would make an instant impact to New York’s woeful secondary.
