Denver Broncos

Denver could be a great landing spot for Cruz in 2017. I’m a firm believer that Tony Romo will be the guy under center for the Broncos next season, and Cruz could find great production out of the slot. Romo notoriously likes to check down to the slot, and that could help Cruz shine.

Outside of the hypothetical situation that Romo would be the Broncos quarterback, Cruz could be very successful in the “Mile High City”. Alongside Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, Cruz wouldn’t have to be the flashy piece in their offense.

Cruz has been the main piece in an offense, the number two wide receiver option, and even a tertiary piece while with the Giants. He is not looking to go anywhere to be a star. He is just looking to contribute to an offense while he still has the talent to play the game.

It would be similar to when Wes Welker signed with the Broncos in 2013. He came in around the likes of Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, and Julius Thomas. This a spot looking for a wide receiver with a few good years left in the tank just trying to get one more ring before he has to call it quits.
