Cleveland Browns

The Browns need a lot of things, and a veteran wide receiver could definitely help. Cruz definitely isn’t an instant fix for a team like the Browns, but it would help any coaching staff to bring him in and teach a young wide receiving corps the ropes.

The Browns have also had one of the worst attendance averages in the league the last few years, and Cruz would definitely help fill seats. Any big name guy will help ticket sales in any way and it would help the Browns to get a player with a winning pedigree.

Cleveland would benefit from Cruz playing on the outside, but it wouldn’t be in Cruz’s best interest to be an outside player. A player that is getting older, Cruz doesn’t want to deal with the physicality that an outside corner will dish out. He should want to go back to the slot and play opposite an off nickel corner.

The Browns quite honestly are horrible, and they are not getting any better. As a Giants fan, I hope Cruz doesn’t find himself in Cleveland next year because it would be hard to see a winner go to a team with a losing culture.
