The Knicks Are The Best Circus Around

The Knicks have been a dysfunctional organization for a while now. With Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus ceasing operation this May, the Knicks may now be the best circus in existence.

When James Dolan hired Phil Jackson as President of the team, he had hoped he would get the Knicks back to prominence. Jackson was on the Knicks team in 1973 that won the NBA Championship and would go on to win NBA titles 11 more times as a head coach. Dolan hoped he would help bring that pedigree to the front office, but he has just added to the chaos.

Jackson has been vocal about wanting to trade Carmelo Anthony. He is reportedly determined to do so before the NBA Trade Deadline on February 23rd. He has resorted to taking shots as Anthony in social media, hoping it will push him to waive his no-trade clause. According to reports, it has done the opposite as Anthony is more determined to stay now.

That is not even the most bizarre incident at Madison Square Garden in the past week or so. Against the Clippers, former Knick and fan favorite Charles Oakley was arrested after causing a scene. He was supposedly berating Dolan, as the two have an icy relationship.

It led to Oakley being banned from Madison Square Garden and some ugly quotes from Dolan about his former player. The NBA has stepped in, as Adam Silver and Michael Jordan are helping to bridge the gap to get Dolan, the Knicks, and Oakley on the same page.
