Round 7: Joshua Dobbs: QB Tennessee

The Jets need a quarterback, and while I believe they will address the need outside of the draft because the top prospects will be gone by the sixth pick, they still could look for another developmental player to compete with Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.

Hobbs is a terrific athlete outside the pocket and while his accuracy has been inconsistent, he does throw a great deep ball with 14 touchdowns coming on throws of more the 21 yards. Has flashed play-making ability with arm and legs, however inconsistency on accuracy and a slender build are some of the knocks on Dobbs.

Still Dobbs is a prospect who has the athleticism and arm talent to succeed in the NFL, it will come down to if coaches can help him refine his accuracy and put him into a system that plays to his strengths such as mobility.
