New York Knicks: 5 Likeliest Players To Not Be With Team After Trade Deadline
Brandon Jennings
Jennings has been very productive for the Knicks on their second unit. He has filled in admirably when the Knicks needed him to start as well, as he is the only point guard on the roster outside of Derrick Rose. While he still has his moments that causes you to shake your head, Jennings has been a good player for New York.
That makes him an attractive trade piece for other teams. He is a veteran that brings it every night no matter who is standing across from him. He would be an ideal acquisition for teams looking for a veteran point guard to bolster their backcourt.
Jennings could step into the starting lineup for a team, or upgrade a bench unit. He has chemistry and plays well with everyone on the Knicks’ roster, which makes him a tough player for the team to trade.
But, if someone comes calling with a good offer the Knicks will seriously consider it. In the next two-three weeks, the Knicks will figure out if they are a legitimate playoff contender or pretender. If they find out they are pretenders they could try flipping Jennings, who will be a free agent after the season, for something rather than potentially losing him for nothing this summer.
