Kyle O’Quinn

O’Quinn has not been mentioned in any trade rumors, but if the Knicks look to make a playoff push he is the most likely player to be moved. O’Quinn has been one of the best players for the Knicks this season but is arguably their best trade asset.

Given his contract and production, O’Quinn is a quality trade chip. They could look to upgrade on the wing by moving him and fully embrace moving Carmelo Anthony to power forward. With Willy Hernangomez emerging as an option at center, and Joakim Noah being virtually untradeable at this time, O’Quinn could be the odd man out.

The Knicks best depth is in their front court, and if they made a move this is probably where it will come from. Of the centers, O’Quinn would be the most likely to be moved. Hernangomez looks like a building block, Noah’s contract makes him very difficult to move, and Marshall Plumlee is on a minimum contract.

O’Quinn has been productive for the Knicks this season, which also enhances his trade value. If the Knicks truly want to make a postseason push, O’Quinn would probably fetch the best return package.
