New York Giants Top 5 Potential First Round Picks

Number One: Ryan Ramczyk, Offensive Tackle, Wisconsin

If by some grace of God the Giants could figure out how to fix the offensive line, this guy is going to be the first building block. Ramczyk is one of the best offensive tackles in the draft this year. If the Giants have a chance to take the Wisconsin product, they have to.

Ramczyk is a force to be reckoned with at 6’5” and 314 pounds. The pick would allow the Giants to move Ereck Flowers to the right side of the line, most likely to the guard position. Flowers has been a liability on the left side of the line, and Ramczyk would be a huge upgrade at the tackle position.

Ramczyk has been a dominant tackle in the Big 10, and really only had major trouble handling one player across from him this season (That player was Taco Charlton). Many people are saying that Ramczyk could be the next Joe Thomas with his raw athleticism and great footwork.

If the Giants were to take Ramczyk they would get exactly the boost they need on the offensive line. If they do re-sign Pierre-Paul the Giants need to address the offensive line. The offensive line has been the worst part of the team, and if Ramczyk sticks around for the 23rd pick, don’t be surprised if his name is called.
